Our Program
Troop 178 offers a year-round Scouting program with fun, challenging activities that promote character development, citizenship, and physical fitness. From September through May, our Troop meets every Monday at Nativity of Mary Parish Hall to advance in Scouting ranks, plan campouts and have a great time with friends. Also from September to May, our Troop camps or does an outing every month. In June, our Troop goes to the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for ten days. High Adventure and Patrol Camping typically take place in July and August.
Fundraising
Our Troop's main fundraising source is running the funnel cake booth at the Independence square for Santa-Cali-Gon days. These funds can be used to help offset the cost of enrollment and/or summer camp dues.
Family Involvement
Family involvement is an essential part of the Scouting experience, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our program.
