Sports/Activities

Nativity offers a variety of athletic activities for grades K-8. Most athletics sign up through the Parochial League of Kansas City (plkc.org).

Ther are activities for everyone at Nativity. Here are some of our current offerings:

• Student Council - meets twice monthly. Students in Student Council volunteer at Nativity and community events, hold fundraisers for funding scholarships. and develop leadership and organizational skills.
• Bricks for Kidz -a fun hands-on class where students build machines, vehicles and other motorized models out of Lego components. Emphasis is placed on the principles of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Students build a new project each week. (Grades K-5)
• Invention Convention (Grades 5-8) - The Kansas City Invention Convention (KCIC) is a STEMIE (STEM + Invention + Entrepreneurship) competition and outreach program presented by the Linda Hall Library that supports 17 counties and 31 school districts in the Kansas City metro area. KCIC teaches problem-solving and creativity to students in grades 5-12, while providing educators with a project-based curriculum to inspire the innovators of tomorrow. Nativity's group meets weekly and presents at the convention in the spring.
• Choir - Meets weekly during the school year and works with our parish Director of Music to sing at church and during special events.
• Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts Troop/Pack 178 - Meets Monday evenings in the Parish Hall
